The Executive Director of Administration
Skwlāx te Secwepemcúl’ecw requires a highly experienced administrative leader with strong administrative and leadership expertise. (“EDoA”) provides leadership and oversight to the Administration Pillar and its associated departments and programs. Working closely with the CAO and other Executive Directors, the role ensures administrative operations are effectively coordinated, resources are managed responsibly, priorities are sequenced effectively, and organizational priorities are achieved in a timely and efficient manner.
The EDoA tracks departmental performance using reports, dashboard formats, and key performance indicators, collaborates with the Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Financial Officer to ensure operational and financial sustainability as well as effective risk management, and upholds role clarity and compliance with all relevant laws, agreements, and organizational policies.
Additionally, the EDoA actively supports team development by fostering mentorship opportunities, providing guidance to staff, encouraging strong planning and prioritization practices, and promoting a collaborative environment that values efficient time management, learning, and professional growth.
Working Conditions and Requirements
The Executive Director of Administration works primarily in an office environment, with regular interaction with the CAO, leadership team, staff, community members, government agencies, contractors, and external partners.
Work is generally conducted during regular business hours; however, flexibility is required to attend Council meetings, special projects, community engagements, and off-site meetings as needed.
Due to the senior leadership and governance nature of the role, a high level of professionalism, discretion, and cultural respect is always required.
