SteS gets donation of paving as part of reconstruction efforts

 

Skwlāx te Secwepemcúl̓ecw will be the benefactors of a donation aimed at beautifying band land.


Skwlāx Resource Management has announced that it’s donating paving improvements to land that was devastated by the 2023 Bush Creek East Wildfire.

SRM CEO Trevor Delorey says the improvements will be made to both the area surrounding the gas station and the entrance to the SteS Industrial Park.

The work is meant to improve traffic flow, boost curb appeal and reduce future maintenance needs.

Paving work will begin Tuesday (Oct 29th) and last approximately until Friday, November 8th.

SteS Kukpi7 James Tomma and the council are appreciative to SRM for its generosity in beautifying the area.
