Skwlāx te Secwepemcúl̓ecw Tk̓wemíple7tn Dawn Francois and Julie John were part of the 2024 Unity Ride held at the Oroville-Osoyoos Border Crossing.
The event was sponsored by Shuswap Nation Tribal Council. The Unity Ride was done to practice our rights as Indigenous peoples to cross the border and acknowledge J treaty rights
Many Kukpi 7’s s crossed the border on horses.
Secwepemc Nation, Okanagan Nation and other Nations participated.
